Lowland, Den Haag,
Been trying to gather my squad for ages , i finally found out the magic word will be : Indonesian food ! The authentics one not the one from chinesse take away or some stuff Dutch folks called it food .... no,,, no,, no,, no, we aint’t eat those garbage.
This girl , woke up at 4 am , took 5 am bus from Ireland to catch up 11 o’clock flight to lowland and bravely took another hour train from the airport to Den haag for FOOD, and ofcourse to meet us up.
Pic , its called Otak Otak , grilled fish cake made from ground mince fish mixed with tapioca starsh and spice... you are so welcome to wake me up at 2am for this little treat.
Pic, Tahu petis , fried tofu with spicy shrimp sauce , you eat them with block rice ( lontong)
Pic, Mie Ayam , seasoned yellow wheat noodle topped with dice chicken and veggies , you eat them with soup or without, this one taste amazing , with freshly made noodle from scratch.

Is a savoury delicacy, made of fish and tapioca, Pempek is served with rich sweet and sour sauce called kuah cukaor kuah cuko(lit. Vinegar sauce), Sometimes local people also eat the dish with yellow noodles and diced up cucumber to balance out the vinegar's sourness. Es campur , A bowl consists of cocunut meat and milk , rose syrup , jackfruit, fermentated cassava and durian.

After our late night sightseing in Den Haag , Where the seat of government of the Netherlands and hosts the International Court of Justice, one of the most important courts in the world,we took the train back to Eindhoven where my overly tired friend will stay with me this weekend, and ofcourse i took her to visit our famous UFO , i told her the aliens left it behind in our city, to decorated our a bit boring town.
I can‘t help myself to try this IPA but as the man behind this MAGA statement , this beer taste like horse pis.
What you do in Sunny Sunday arvo? Surely going to visit Christmas market in little town called Valkenburg ( see my older blog) , and my friend met the sweet St.Nicolas aka Sinterklaas and his black Piet. A kind of weird feeling to see Sinterklaas and Santa Klaus together, Santa should have not been here yet , he should wait untill Sinterklaas gone home by Dec 6th.
Tried the mulled wine on this freezing cold eve.
I never tired to visit this beautiful gate .

Santa tried to steal Sinterklaas fame , not cool Santa ! So not cool .
After a good dinner we went home and resting , we have been coughing the whole night and really need a good night sleep.
But before we went to sleep , we decided to use the new app togoodtogo to get a cheap dinner for about €4,99 , from a dinner, this is an awesome app ever made, plenty of dinners or supermarket and bakery have to dispose all the food/ goods at the closing time , instead of bin those food, they sell them for below €5,- 10 minutes before the closing time , you can grab whatever you want, this is the first time i did it and to be really honest i was embarassed but when i see plenty of people doing it , especially how thankfull the owner , i could go home and eat them in peace 😊
Well , Before cathing up her flight back to the emerald, i took my friend to my beloved Antwerp for some waffle and visit to my fave church.
Het Grote Mark Square , i love to come here for a bite and drinks.

You know its nearly christmas when the nutcrakkers displayed to attract touristt 🤣
Finally , the day end when my friend and I went separate ways , she went to catch up her flight to Brussel Airport and i took my bus back to Eindhoven .
it’s been a wonderful weekend again my friends , see ya both in Lisabon .
