When 2 lost souls swam in the fishbowl, Pink Floyd met Beatles and Elvis in Faro..

The last couple of days in Portugal i moved to Faro, A popular destination for sun-seekers from other European countries, and has not a reputation as a party beach town like Albufeira, to those who looking for no more than a tan and cocktails won't be disappointed. In winter, it is a beautiful, peaceful corner of Southern Europe with plenty of sun bleaching the white-washed town with Iberian and Moorish-influenced architecture. The people are more friendly than other parts of Europe. Many speak a bit of English, but are very appreciative of any attempts at Portuguese.

The town Square....

Pic: Arco da vila , This opening in Faro’s walls goes all the way back to Moorish times, and as you pass through the gateway that 1,000-year-old stonework is still visible.

A long alley behind the wall ...towards the cathedral.

Cathedral of Faro, The cathedral was consecrated in the name of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the late 13th century by the Archbisoph of Braga.

I love the orange trees ...

Statue of Dom Afonso III , the first King of Portugal .

Another alleys

One thing i love about the restaurant in Faro , they still have authentics Portugesse food and cute design .

The gate of nice garden, no clue whats the name of it , i just bumped on to it.

Blue sky on ... the old wall .

i am sailing .... i am sailing ... si nearby yet too far away.

Haven view from the train station ....

I just love this podium ..

My fave lunch room in the middle of city centre...

The theater ...

I bumped to plenty of colourful houses .. really like it .

What Portugal famous for, Sardines ... lots of them in the tin , grim like 100 years ago ..

Bumped to Santa and he got me present.

The famous Mateus wine ... sipping on this beautiful nectar whilst listening to pink floyd and beatles and Elvis ... and watching the sunset , made one the happiest person on earth.

The Igreja do Carmo in Faro, with its Baroque façade and twin bell towers is one of the finest churches on the Algarve. The Carmelite church was built throughout much of the 18th and 19th centuries, starting in 1719. Disaster struck in 1755 when the great earthquake that hit Portugal badly damaged the church. However, a new facade was designed by mason Diogo Gonçalves including the now iconic bell towers.

I really against Aquarium, Sea World or Zoo... i dont like how they treat the fish and all of the sea creature, there will be no way a dolphin would love to do the act over and over again ... i strongly advised to never visit Sea World or Aquarium😡

The street in historical city of Faro ...

Oh my god , the train made me laugh , so ancient ... i feel like we were back to 1930 .

Churros.... and i allowed to buy only 1 pc , saweeeettt

Can’t help to make pics of them .. and bought a 2020 calenders from them.

I do enjoy Faro, totally different as Albufeira, but so cosy and lively, i spent every afternoon watching sunset and listened to Elvis and Beatles ... , i will be back for sure not only for the view but also for the hospitality and the food.

i am so sad to leave, but life must go on ... till next time Faro ......
