Autumn in the lowlands means only God knows what the day will bring. Will it be rain, sunshine, cold winds, icy chills, or even a surprise snowfall? Only He knows...
I woke up this morning with confidence and optimism—the sun was shining, birds were singing, and the world felt just right. But if you’re familiar with lowland weather, you know one thing for sure: it can change in a heartbeat.
So, I step out ready for anything, embracing the unpredictable beauty of the season.

You can’t really see the rain, but you can feel it—light, misty, and just enough to be annoying. It’s been like this the whole afternoon, lingering in the air, neither pouring down nor fully stopping.
The sky looks heavy, as if it’s undecided, but one thing’s for sure—it doesn’t seem like it’ll let up anytime soon. Just a quiet, endless drizzle, painting everything in shades of gray...

Ah, in Dutchie land, you get used to this temperamental weather—it’s almost like a part of life!
Some people just shrug it off and keep going—biking through the drizzle, jogging in the rain, running errands without a second thought. We know it’ll pass or change, so why let it stop us from doing our thing? It’s like we’ve learned to dance with the weather, no matter how unpredictable it gets.

Ah, the princess is living her best life, of course! While the world gets wet and wild outside, she’s inside, indulging in the finer things—Netflix, delicious European cheeses, and a platter of salami that’s just begging to be devoured. And let’s not forget that 2012 Amarone, perfectly paired for the royal tastebuds.
Rain or shine, sometimes all you need is a cozy vibe, a good show, and the luxury of savoring the little things. Why not enjoy the moment?

Nothing beats the simple joys of a creamy brie, camembert, port salut, chaumes, fresh cucumber, juicy grapes, and Italian salami, all piled high on sourdough bread. The perfect pairing with my best friend, Amarone. 🍷✨
And of course, the soundtrack to this perfect autumn day? Gilbert Bécaud, filling the air with nostalgia and warmth. My first day of autumn has been nothing short of amazing, and I hope you all can savor this moment of beauty, joy, and friendship too
