Reminiscing part 2, friendship ... Cerna!!!!!!! I miss you 😍

Well… I promise I won’t write about the past, but this is about a friendship, a very special one. Please forgive me ☺️☺️

So, right after I packed my gear for my unchristian flight tomorrow morning (why do low-cost flights always have the weirdest timetables? 😅), I remembered – for €40 return, I can't really complain, right? 😂 Then, I got the sweetest message on Messenger from my beautiful Czech partner in crime 💖. I met her about 4 years ago in Hillsboro, Oregon, Murica.

“I met her in the office and, automatically, I hated her 😡. She has EVERYTHING a beauty queen has—tall, long blond hair, an awesome figure, and... perfect skin , she can eat pasta every day and still look flawless! Meanwhile, I can’t stop thinking about pasta and have already gained 4 kgs! Oh boy... the minute I saw her, I HATE her... but also, I secretly admire her. 😜”

She walked like a marathon runner , and I just couldn’t keep up! I was SO mad at her when I arrived, and she was already hanging with my other partner in crime on the trip. I thought, How dare you steal my friend?! 

I gave her the silent treatment for a whole week (yep, I was that petty ). But the day before she was supposed to head home, she started crying because she had to stay another two weeks... and suddenly, I got her.

So, I said, Come to my unit, let’s get sushi , pizza , and get drunk ... mind you, it was on a school day! 😂”

We’ve been friends ever since! Woke up at 4 AM just to drive all the way to Springfield, Oregon, to snap a pic with the Simpsons wall painting (yep, we’re total weirdos ). But hey, it was totally worth it!”

Go on sand surfing on Florence , Oregon .

Almost ended up in jail for manslaughter on our way to see the seals 🙄🙄🙄... but no worries, we survived! Then we hit up Cannon Beach for the shipwreck, she took me to the Astoria Bridge, and of course, we grabbed ice cream (Murican size ) at the Tillamook Cheese Factory (yep, there’s real cheese in Merica! ).”

Oregon road trip, San Fran adventure, last-minute Halloween outfit shopping... and somehow ended up in bed at 10 PM . My credit card got skimmed, Simone got kicked out of Starbucks at Fisherman’s Wharf... bloody hell, we really did have some bad luck, didn’t we darling?

In the office, I blamed Simone for everything wrong with the spare parts (LOL, the look on her face was priceless )... yep, I was a total bitch 😊.

Then back to Europe! Surprisingly enough, we stayed friends. Brno, Prague, Bratislava, Vienna, Barcelona... and the last stop was Budapest before I headed off to Straya

Boy... today, last year, I took her to see the Lowlands, free Jameson’s and cocktails on a rooftop in Eindhoven (because those guys liked her ), wandered through Amsterdam, grabbed beers at the beach in Scheveningen, and got totally lost between the windmills in Kinderdijk... Cerna!! I miss you, darling 💖. I’m back, and we NEED to plan a trip really soon. I miss you and thank you for being my partner in crime. Let’s go discover more together!”
