"Yes, yes, I promised I’d only write about my 'Now' and not my past... but I think I deserve a wild card for this one. I’m nervous and can’t sleep, totally scared for tomorrow’s meeting. In less than 12 hours, I’ll get the result from the hospital, so I think y’all will forgive me for reminiscing just this once. ☺️"

Sending you good vibes and strength for tomorrow!

Exactly a year ago today, I took a week off to visit my friend and her hubby in Mizunami, Nagoya, and did an epic road trip to Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Gifu. It was an amazing adventure with my other bestie, Lisa from Bali. While I was in Gifu, I even met the World Champion freestyler Frisbee player, Daniel O’Neill from NYC! Such a cool moment!"

As straightforward and annoying Dutchie, of course i made a stupid statememt like “ Frisbee is not a sport” ...well saying that to a Japan Champ and a World champ, really looking for a fight they lectured me an hour and half ( Daniel still complained a couple hours later to my friend) and a short hike later , we finally becoming a friend, he even signed a disk, tshirt and recorded his greeting to my friend Who happened to have addiction to frisbee too in Brisbane ..pssst dont tell anybody i still dont think frisbee is a sport .

When you say 'Japan,' people automatically assume you’re gonna eat sushi... but to be honest, I’ve visited Japan multiple times and never ate sushi, not even once! 😅 Yup, I ate lots of ramen though – and I absolutely love it!

Trust me, taking a picture of the bridge from the car is not easy. I almost broke my neck trying to get the perfect shot! 😂 But hey, totally worth the trouble in the end.

Eating ramen Japanesse way not easy .. i cant sit on the ground ..

My fave ramen , delish !!

Mizunami , no i am not planning to jump off the bridge , don’t worry.

Team picture infront of the temple .

Gifu with the beautiful landscape, keep calling my name to come visit .

A nice typical Japanese village in the mountain .

I am not a fan of taking picture of my own but with this view I insisted, yes my knee still not heal properly at that time.

My visit will not complete without a matcha ice cream ,

I’ve always wanted to wear a summer kimono, so before I caught my flight, I decided to make time for it. 🌸

I hope y’all forgive this little trip down memory lane... I promise I’ll stop reminiscing after this

Nagoya, Oct 7th 2018.
